You might be wondering where this name came from. Well, for my entire life I was the cat lady. Crazy about cats! Then I met Rusty, a dog that changed my entire life. He very quickly made me into the dog lady! So, now I am the Dog/Cat lady, or Dat Lady!

Some of the best beings I've ever known have been dogs. I've had the pleasure to be a caretaker for many cats, some of which were feral. I've also been "mom" to an adopted Rottweiler, Great Dane, Chihuahua and Pomeranian. My beautiful Great Dane was epileptic and needed special care and attention. I have lived with and loved previously abused dogs. I'd describe myself as calm, gentle and willing to work with a pup who might be scared or timid. I want to take care of your pet(s), the way you would, if you were there. You enjoy your time away and know that they will be in great hands.
My main goal when spending time with your pet(s) is to exhaust them with exercise and to give them extreme amounts of attention! If you feel like I am the dog walker or pet sitter for you, reach out and we will make it work. You can message me here and then we can speak over the phone if that makes you feel more comfortable. Let's get a Meet & Greet on the calendar so that you can be at ease, knowing that they will be in great hands!
I'd prefer to know what your pet likes, so that I can care for them the way that you would if you were home. There are no details that are silly to me. If your pet needs a cart for walks, I've got it. If you want your pet to have ice in their water, I've got it. If it is important to your pet, it is important to me. The comfort of you and your animal family is what I care most about.

We are so often too busy when we walk our dogs, so I want to make my time with them - all about them. I want to make the pets I walk and care for feel safe, secure and super special.

Extra hugs, extra pets, extra love along with extra treats! Maddie is in doggie heaven every time Erica comes to see her! Erica always goes the extra mile when she is with Maddie. I never worry about my dog, her care, or my house with Erica in charge. How lucky I am to have found Erica!

Erica has been wonderful with Kip! She is clearly dedicated, loving AND professional! Her intuitive sense with Kip was very apparent. Additionally, she has been very flexible and a very good communicator. It is such a good feeling knowing she’ll be there with Kip while we are away.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Erica and my (our experience) as a pet sitter! Normally leaving my cats at home is a stressful experience - not so with Erica. She knew exactly what to say with each daily update to let me know my cats were in great care. The photos she sent reinforced that. Upon my return, the cats were not anxious, or upset, but very well adjusted. I would HIGHLY recommend her to any pet lover needing a sitter!

We are so lucky to have found Erica! The dogs love her so much & she’s terrific with them. She is a careful observer of their behavior and knows how to manage them. She’s playful and will throw the tennis ball for a looooong time and we come home to tired, happy dogs.
